I was incredibly thrilled to have received an ARC for Draw Me In. So okay, I admit, the cover was the one that first caught my eye *wink!* but when I finally read the synopsis, I also really liked what little I got from it.

So we have a young businessman and a fine arts student. Now I know that will immediately bring to mind Fifty Shades, Bared to You, Up In The Air and the other similar series; I mean, I thought of exactly the same thing. However, this story is not just about power play or primarily about sexual awakening. It is quite simply just a story about a wealthy young man who met a beautiful woman who still happens to be in school. The two of them develop a connection, and it progressed to become a very sweet, sincere and lasting love with one another.

Now...

I want me some LEO!

It's not often that I declare a book hero to be perfect, but he really made that list for me. He's just the right blend of funny, sexy, smoldering, successful, classy... oh, just name a swoon-worthy quality and I'll claim he has it! As for Julie, I quite liked her as a character. She was so funny, especially during their early interactions. Her private conversations had me chuckling as I read them. How I wished she actually said them out loud, I'd have loved to know how Leo would react to some of them! There was one thing she did, however, that I was quite annoyed with. It had something to do with Leo's privacy, and although I understand her reasons for doing it, it was something I certainly wouldn't dream of doing.

At first I thought that Draw Me In will be an angsty read because of the synposis and the blurb. Just look at Leo's serious face! That's why I was surprised at the humor of the characters. But of course, it's wasn't all rainbows and gummi bears. There were also some conflicts that Leo and Julie had to face. The mere fact that Julie was officially there to work for Leo was bound to cause some problems. There was a time or two when my stomach clenched in worry... but I thanked the heavens, and Megan Squires, that they pulled it off very well in the end. Quite beautifully too, in my opinion!

Another thing I liked: Italy! While reading those passages, I imagined in my mind what the places would look like. It eventually felt as though I'm watching a film in my head, and I just love it when that happens.

This is actually my first read by Megan Squires and I am so glad that it is this book. Her writing style is engaging, the conversations entertaining, and the pivotal scenes were just perfect. What was meant to be sad really made me sad, and what was meant to be heart-warming made me clap my hands in happiness. There is no explicit scene in this book, but Megan was still able to make me feel the attraction and chemistry between Leo and Julie.

So, if you're looking for a PG-rated romantic story that will make you laugh, cry a little, and curl your toes and squee, this is for you.

Synopsis:
