The plot of SEVERED ANGEL
is pretty straightforward. Most of the key points are already stated in the Synopsis. Our main characters should have met during a very happy celebration. Unfortunately, due to to the stubbornness (and might I say stupidity) of the heroine, they end up meeting under very dire, tragic, and scary circumstances.

Unfortunately, due to to the stubbornness (and might I say stupidity) of the heroine, they end up meeting under very dire, tragic, and scary circumstances.
Eve was supposed to attend the wedding of her best friend in Australia, but she finds herself in the middle of a dangerous situation with the sick leader of a dangerous biker club. Thank God for small blessings because her best friend also happens to be from a biker family; and this club of theirs is Severed MC. This club rescues her at just the right moment. One of them is Gabriel, the VP.
What follows are pretty much predictable. Eve needs to stay under the radar for her own safety, and the best place for her to hide is Severed' s clubhouse. She and Gabe have some friction at first, but that only heats things up as the already-apparent attraction between them becomes undeniable day by day. What else can you expect from an alpha male? :) A woman he is attracted to is also looking beautiful in the eyes of his biker brothers (not that anything comes out of that, so if you're not comfortable with triangles, don't worry!), and more importantly, said woman is on someone's hit list. Caveman instincts definitely rose to the fore.
As a reader, I've come to expect biker romances to be sexy, and this books also delivers on that department. Another thing I expect from this genre is the grittiness and a little bit of gore (really, I can't find another word for it, pardon me!). I like that Severed MC is apparently a "good" club, the guys respect their women and they have legal businesses put up. However, they're not entirely removed from the grittiness of the lifestyle--they need to keep guns for their own protection, for starters--and readers will see some of that here. Those atrocities by the enemy club just broke my heart :(.
I'm usually not a fan of cliffhangers, unless if I'm following a series in the likes of Harry Potter, Black Dagger Brotherhood or Night Prince. I still dove into this story though because the synopsis tells us beforehand that this is only part 1. In all fairness, it's the cliffhanger that bumped up my rating to 4 stars. Without it, this would have been a boring MC romance, nothing new: a damsel in distress, a hero-slash-biker, and bad guys out to capture the girl. The way SEVERED ANGEL
ended was very exciting, also terrifying, and had me biting my nails and saying, oh my God, how can they avoid tragedy now???

KT Fisher gave us a sick antagonist, a man I'd be happy to see castrated and killed. But, in all fairness, the antagonist is also the reason why I am excited for the next book. As for secondary characters, I'm really hoping that Ink will get his own story! The few appearances he had were enough to make me like him a lot.
I am really looking forward to finding out what happens next! I don't really see how Eve can still stay safe after this book... but we'll have to see what KT Fisher and Ava Manello has in store!
Synopsis:
