To Professor, With Love
by Linda Kage
Book 2 of the Forbidden Men Series

5 HUGE STARS!

Ohh, this book just fulfilled ALL my romantic expectations from an NA romance! I love, love, love, LOVE it! This is my first time to read Linda Kage's work, and it's enough to put her into my auto-buy, auto-add-to-TBR list ❤

Read. Smile. Giggle. Read. "Aww….". Smile. Read. Laugh out loud. Read. "OMGeeee! *squeee!". Clutch cheeks. Read. Clutch mouth. Drop kindle. Hands over chest. Grin like a Cheshire. Pick up kindle. Repeat.

This was more or less my pattern while reading TO PROFESSOR, WITH LOVE! We have a word for this in Tagalog: kilig! This word doesn't have an English equivalent, but it means that tingly feeling you get when you see, hear, read or imagine something so sweet and romantic, you can't help but smile silly, squeal, dance on your tiptoes and basically just feel like you want to hug your chest. :D I don't think I've ever had the same level of experience with an NA book before. For me, it really hit all the right notes for romance, humor, angst and conflict. It has very likable secondary characters plus several subplots that open up to potential sequels in this series. All in all, it's a perfect NA romance novel that will leave you panting for more!

This is actually the second book in the Forbidden Men series, but it is a standalone. I had no problem plot-wise even if I hadn't read the first one (but you can be sure that I will now! ^_^). It's also in this book where a ton of other characters and potential couples are introduced. There are at least 2 of those couples that we can look forward to in the succeeding books, and I must say.. *LMAO!* one pair in particular had me laughing so hard the moment I realized they will be paired in the future! I can imagine all hell will break lose the moment they send feelers for each other! **giggles… the thought is really making me laugh hysterically!**

Now for the story. From the title alone you immediately get the gist: this is a romance between a literature professor and a star athlete student. Oh gosh, please DO NOT SCROLL BEYOND THE SYNOPSIS AT GOODREADS!!! Hahahha! Do not read anything else to spoil the book because believe me, there is a massive surprise at the very beginning of the story. It'll be so awesome if you find out what it is when you begin reading, and not because you read a spoiler. It happened this way for me, and I was caught off-guard in a very good way. That surprise made me extremely excited for the rest of the story!

Now the characters. This pair is one of the most likable I've ever read. I don't think I ever felt more than very mild annoyance with either of them. Each time they did something that brought them together, I smiled a sappy smile and felt all cottony inside. Whenever they did something that put a distance between them, I felt very sad, but a part of me still understood where they were coming from. And I just kept rooting for them to solve their problems and end up together in the end.

You might be having the impression now that this book is as fun and carefree as Tara Sivec's Chocolate Lovers books. That's not the case at all. There are actually serious aspects in the story, but the good and happy parts just stood out more for me. What the difficult moments did was boost my satisfaction level even  higher as soon as they were overcome.

You notice I'm not mentioning names at all? LOL, I really don't want to give any spoilers! Just take my word for it: TO PROFESSOR, WITH LOVE has a wonderful story. It is chock-full of surprises, it is never boring, and the story has so much meat in it that like I said, by the time you finish, you'll really want to read more of... okay fine, here we go: Noel & Aspen **YAY! throws confetti!** =D also book one's Mason & Reese, and the rest of the gang!
