Blog Tour: Uncivilized by Sawyer Bennett

Release Date: September 8, 2014

Synopsis:

Putting a woman on her knees before me is what really makes my cock hard. I fuck with dominant force and absolute control. I demand complete surrender from my conquests.

Savage man, loner, warrior… I am dangerous at my core. I have lived amidst the untamed wild of the rainforest, in a society that reveres me and where every woman falls before me in subjugation.

Now I've been discovered. Forced to return to a world that I have forgotten about and to a culture that is only vaguely familiar to my senses.

Dr. Moira Reed is an anthropologist who has been hired to help me transition back into modern society. It's her job to smooth away my rough edges… to teach me how to navigate properly through this new life of mine. She wants to tame me.

She'll never win.

I am wild, free and raw, and the only thing I want from the beautiful Moira Reed is to fuck her into submission.

She wants it, I am certain.

I will give it to her soon.

Yes, very soon, I will become the teacher and she will become my student. And when I am finished showing her body pleasure like no other, she'll know what it feels like to be claimed by an uncivilized man.

**Warning: This book is a wild, sexy beast of a read. 18+**

4 stars

If you're thinking of picking up UNCIVILIZED, most probably it's because you are looking for one hot read and the book promises to be one. Well let me tell you, it does very much deliver on that score! If you're not a huge fan of highly explicit sex scenes, this one is not for you.

This is the most erotic book I've read so far this year. Almost from start to finish, we get a series of sex scenes that are off-the-charts hot. They will surely make some readers' cheeks burn. I know I looked over my shoulder a couple of times to make sure there was no one behind me when I read it!

This is actually pretty short and the story arc is very similar to Tarzan---except that here, the heroine is sent to the Amazon to bring back the long lost son of missionaries who died in the jungle when the boy was only around 7 years old.

When Dr. Moira Reed meets Zacharias Moore he's already 24 years old. Although he still knows how to speak English and is familiar with many things about the civilized world, he has already embraced the customs of the Caraican tribe that he grew up with. He is also unwilling to leave, but his adoptive father pushed him to at least experience the world where he came from.

Now according to Google such a tribe does not exist, but this gives Sawyer Bennett free reign on the "uncivilized" customs and behaviors Zach keeps flaunting in Moira's face. Wearing just a loincloth and sometimes none at all, having intercourse anytime anywhere the man wants, killing enemies---these are just some of the things Moira had to teach him not to do in the civilized world.
...from the moment I first laid eyes on this woman, she's stolen every bit of comfort from me. If I can repay the favor, I'll take every opportunity I can.

Zach is extremely hard-headed at the beginning though. He would rebel by flat out refusing to do as Moira instructed. In spite of his rebellion, however, he feels a very strong sexual attraction her; and she feels the same for him. This puts Moira in a bit of a sticky situation because she's a professional. However, she easily and quickly succumbs to his seductions. Thus begins a series of sex scenes so hot and done so often, I lost track of how many times they did it throughout the book.
God, I'm such an idiot. I vow to myself that I have to maintain an absolute professional distance with Zach going forward. My career is too important to risk on something that is so far outside the bounds of decency.

Another conflict is Zach's persistent desire to return to Caraica. The people there are his family. Sure he has an uncle in the US who cares so much about him even if they're not really blood relatives. However, it's his adoptive father and the tribesmen who shaped him to be the man that he is now. He is like fish out of water who doesn't even have the skills to find a job and in the civilized world. That is why he keeps saying he will return to the Amazon, and his relationship with Moira will just be temporary.

How it all ends, you'll just have to find out.

The whole Tarzan and teacher Jane setup gave the perfect backdrop for Sawyer Bennett to pull out all stops and make this an extremely steamy romance. Moira practically has to keep her eye on Zack 24/7. She has to teach him how to speak and behave to fit into civilized society. They have to live together, talk and spend time with one another. That's an old-school recipe for romance to develop; and when Zach asked to be tutored about sex, author Sawyer Bennett raised the heat factor up a hundred levels.

I wasn't really wowed by the story but I'm giving it 4 stars mainly because it delivered its promise. It's not even just about the abundance of sex, but the fact that Sawyer Bennett was able to more than live up to what she teased readers with. From the cover & synopsis to the graphic teasers & excerpts, UNCIVILIZED tells readers straight out that this book will be very hot and sexy. There's no excuse for readers to be all surprised or dismayed about the amount of sex in the book. Also, Sawyer Bennett's writing flows smoothly.  So, if you are in the mood for a well-written erotica you will really like this book.

USA Today Best-Selling author, Sawyer Bennett, is a snarky southern woman and reformed trial lawyer who decided to finally start putting on paper all of the stories that were floating in her head. She is married to a mobster (well, a market researcher) and they have two big, furry dogs who hog the bed. Sawyer would like to report she doesn't have many weaknesses but can be bribed with a nominal amount of milk chocolate.
