Review Tour: Tied by Emma Chase + Exerpt

The final installment of Drew and Kate's love story! This is definitely one of the book couples that will stay with me for a long, long time.

Release Date: October 7, 2014
Book 4 of the Tangled Series

Synopsis:

In the fourth sexy romance by the New York Times bestselling author of Tangled and Twisted, Drew and Kate can't wait to tie the knot—if they can survive the pre-wedding festivities.

For most of my life, I never imagined I'd get married. But Kate did the impossible: she changed me. I think we can all agree I was pretty frigging awesome before, but now I'm even better.

The road to this day wasn't all rainbows and boners. There were mistakes and misunderstandings worthy of a Greek tragedy. But Kate and I made it through with our inexhaustible lust, boundless admiration, and everlasting love for one another intact.

That being said, there were some unexpected incidents in Vegas last weekend that could have been a problem. It was kind of... my final test.

I know what you're thinking—what the hell did you do this time? Relax. Let's not judge, or call for my castration, until you've heard the whole story.

And hold on tight, because you're in for a wild ride. Did you expect anything less?

4.5 wacky stars!

There was one thing I almost immediately realized a few pages into reading TIED: I missed reading through Drew's POV! =D The previous book, TWISTED, was written in Kate's POV. Although it had its funny moments, the hilarity meter for went down several notches from book 1, TANGLED. If you haven't read book 2 yet though, don't worry. Letting Kate narrate the story at that period in their relationship was absolutely the best way to do it. You can read my 5-star review here.

Now back to TIED. This beautiful couple is finally getting married! Instead of focusing on that happy occasion though, majority of this book is about the memorable, crazy events the night before the wedding. A bachelor's party and a bridal shower happening in Vegas! Throw in the rest of the gang, and you've got a wild and crazy night that has the makings of a major wedding doom!!!

But don't worry, this is a very happy ending for the Tangled series. :)

Oh, what can I say. This is just one heck of a fun book to read! I expected nothing less from a Drew POV. I enjoyed how he, right at the very beginning, headed-off readers who are still unimpressed by his jackass move in TWISTED. I also loved all scenes with him caring for or talking to his son! “DON'T WAKE THE FUCKING BABY.” That made me laugh out loud!
I really love how Emma Chase shaped his character, and Kate's as well. They both went through so much, and it is very obvious that they are now shaped by their past experiences.

After a dramatic turn in TWISTED, Drew is definitely a lot more mature now, especially where his relationship with Kate is concerned. This is honestly the best part about this book, knowing that although he has retained most of his funny childishness, he is most definitely a more mature husband-to-be, father, and even a friend to Billy(!) now. I love what Emma Chase said about him:
As I wrote the final lines of Tied, I admit it — there were tears. My sweet, sexy, infuriating boy, Drew Evans, has at last grown into a man.
Mostly.

As for Kate, it's great to know that she is still as feisty and witty as ever! She truly is the perfect match for Drew. She keeps up with his energy and complements his wit. She can also butt heads with him whenever he needs to be reined in a bit. Their dynamic as a couple is really fun to read about and the chemistry never wavered.

Just read this book! I highly recommend it if you're looking for something that will make you laugh from the first page to the last. Even if you haven't read the earlier books (although it is absolutely best if you do read at least the Kate & Drew books!), you will still find something to chuckle and laugh loudly about.

This is a wonderful end to a mostly fun and light-hearted series! Congratulations and thank you to Emma Chase for writing such memorable stories and creating characters that so many readers around the world have grown to love!

Indecent Proposal

"I hover over her, just close enough to caress her with my breath. "Fuck, Kate, the things I want to do to you…"
Her round, dark eyes drift over my face — filled with love and need. Docile and demanding at the same time.
"I'm yours, Drew." She whispers. "You can do anything…everything."
Does she understand what she's offering? How badly I want to hear her voice, soaked with pleasure, screaming my name until it echoes off the hills around us?
          Anything?
          Oh, the possibilities.
